BMW has unveiled a new model: when the Alpina B4 Gran Coupe will be launched

Alpina has unveiled its new B4 Gran Coupe as a more practical, performance-oriented model.

With the recent takeover by BMW of the German tuning company, which has specialized in the brand’s models for years and the definition of a strong partnership, “BMW” is now included in its name. It is also the first time that the B4 is based on the more practical Gran Coupe body style, as it was previously only offered in regular coupe and convertible forms.

Using a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, the B4 serves up to 488 hp and 730 Nm of torque and, although slightly less powerful than the M4, which is not available as a Gran Coupe, offers a torque of 80 Nm more, allowing a 0-100 mph for 3.5 seconds – which makes it faster than the M4. It also has a top speed of 300 km / h.

The B4 also gets a number of other mechanical changes, not least a custom suspension configuration, including new front anti-roll bars and a custom spring and shock absorber configuration. These changes, along with a more sporty steering rack, aim to “combine the emotional dynamics of driving with a comfortable ride,” says Alpina.

An expected model

In terms of design, the B4 receives a range of revised elements, including a set of 20-inch Alpina alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero performance tires, which were developed directly with Alpina.

Other changes include new bumpers with a splitter front and a more aggressive rear speaker. Alpina’s well-known pinstriping is also available, along with the brand’s blue and green paint finishes. The performance exhaust also has four oval pipes.

The Alpina B4 Gran Coupe is available for order now, with the first deliveries being declared for July. Prices in Romania have not been announced, but the model is priced at EUR 91,800 in Germany.
