At least two dead and more than 20 wounded in shooting in southern Brazil

At least two people have died and more than twenty have been injured as a result of a shooting at a bar in the southern part of the town of Porto Alegre, located in the extreme south of Brazil.

According to the police, two vehicles arrived at the scene in the early hours of the morning and shortly after an exchange of gunfire began between those inside the establishment and those on the street.

In addition, the authorities have advanced that among the more than 20 wounded there are at least two minors, who have already been rushed to the hospital, according to the Brazilian newspaper ‘O Globo’.

The Brazilian Civil Police is now in charge of the investigations into the incident, although in the first instance it points to a confrontation in the context of a war between criminal groups.
