At least one dead and six wounded in shooting in Washington state, U.S.

At least one man has died and six people have been injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in the town Renton, almost 20 kilometers away from the city of Seattle, in the state of Washington, United States.

“The man who died is 32 years old (…), the other six victims have suffered gunshot wounds of varying severity, and are receiving treatment at local hospitals,” the Renton Police Department said in a statement.

Two of the victims — transported to Valley Medical Center in Renton and Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue — are not life-threatened, according to Detective Robert Onishi, in statements reported by the Seattle Times.

“The conditions of the other four people who are being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle are unknown,” Onishi said.

Also, Police have stated that they have no information on the cause of the incident and have not made any arrests. “Witnesses heard an argument followed by a large number of gunshots,” said the officers, before asking for citizen help to clarify the case.
