At least eight dead and more than 15 injured in a bus accident in Mexico

MADRID, Feb. 7 (Royals Blue) –

At least eight people have died and more than 15 have been injured this Sunday after a bus overturned in the town of El Tintal, in the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas in Mexico.

The Quintana Roo Attorney General’s Office has reported the tragedy and has assured that the bodies of the deceased — five men and three women — have been taken to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo).

The more than 15 injured have been taken to a Cancun hospital for medical attention.

The accident occurred at kilometer 242 of the Valladolid-Cancun highway, 70 kilometers from Cancun, and there were a total of 40 passengers on the bus, as reported by the newspaper ‘El Universal’.
