Assassin’s Creed Mirage will not get DLC or post launch support – That’s Gaming

With so many Assassin’s Creed titles in development – not counting the rumors – it will be interesting to see what Ubisoft does with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It is a smaller-scale title whose price will be slightly lower. Will it get the same long-term support as its predecessors?

That does not appear to be the case. In a recent Reddit AMA, a user asked if there was any chance of replaying a mission or quest in a post-launch update. Creative director Stephane Boudon replied that there are currently “no plans for DLC” or extended post-launch support. This seemingly emphasizes the one-off nature of the title once players have completed all missions and found collectibles.

As for quick saving, Boudon said, “We’ve found that stealth players love quick saving, and we decided to make it more accessible. The difficulty of the game obviously plays a role.” He also revealed that the team is focusing on “fluidity and control” for parkour. Although they are “building their own thing, inspired by different ACs,” you won’t find backwards and sideways outs like in the pre-Assassin’s Creed 3 titles.

“We put a lot of effort into working on small details to make sure players have the best control over Basim. We are still tuning the parkour to further enhance this control and the sense of fluidity and agility when traversing Baghdad.”
