Ukraine announces agreements for the opening of nine humanitarian corridors this Tuesday

The Ukrainian authorities announced this Tuesday agreements to open a total of nine humanitarian corridors to proceed with the evacuation of civilians in various parts of the country, within the framework of the Russian invasion.

The Ukrainian deputy prime minister, Irina Vereshchuk, has detailed on Telegram that civilians will be able to travel to Zaporizhia from Mariúpol -in their own transport- and from Berdiansk, Tokmak and Energodar. In addition, they will be able to go to Bakhmut from Severodonetsk, from Lisichansk, Popasna, Hirske and Rubizhne.

More than 4,350 people were evacuated thanks to humanitarian corridors on Monday, when nine of them were enabled. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 4.5 million people have fled the country fleeing the war.
