Sergio García signs a pole position with suspense in Termas

The Spanish Moto3 rider Sergio García Dols (Solunion GASGAS Aspar Team) took pole position at the Argentine Grand Prix, the third round of the World Championship, in a packed session this Saturday, including free practice, until the checkered flag.

García Dols set the circuit record to start first on Sunday in a race that will undoubtedly be tight, as is the World Championship in the small category after two tests. The Spaniard signed a time of 1:48.429, ahead of Ayumu Sasaki (Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max), second.

The Japanese however will have to serve a penalty in the race that he drags from Indonesia. Also Spanish and teammate of García Dols, Izan Guevara, completed the front row of the grid, just over a tenth off the fastest time, on a Saturday morning when he held free practice, a program change forced by problems of logistics that Dorna announced on Thursday.

The last lap changed everything, in the game of slipstreams, and gave Burriana the second pole of his career, the first this season. The leader of the World Championship with only one point difference from García Dols, Dennis Foggia (Leopard Racing), was relegated to eleventh position on the grid.
