Twitter has suspended the tool that allowed users to tip each other on Twitter using Dogecoin

Several prominent DOGE-themed accounts, including a Dogecoin UX/UI and graphic designer, have brought it to the attention of the Dogecoin community that the @MyDogeTip account has been suspended.

Twitter suspends Dogecoin tipping bot

This account was created for a bot that allowed Twitter users to tip content creators using DOGE. One of those accounts said it was a huge slap in the face to the Doge army.

The user “Dogecoin Designer” (@cb_doge) tagged Elon Musk in his tweet to say that the Doge tipping bot was suspended for no reason. He and “Sir Doge of The Coin” (@dogeofficialceo) both tweeted that this bot was a good way to spread meme coins throughout the community and tip content creators on Twitter.

Doge fan @MyDogeCTO said that since Twitter suspended the only tool that allowed users to tip each other with DOGE, the social network “better build something EXTRAORDINARY for Dogecoin.“S’they don&t implement micropayments and DOGE tips,” he added, “it would now be a huge slap in the face for the entire Dogecoin army.

If @TwitterSupport is going to shutdown @MyDogeTip they better be building something AWESOME for dogecoin… Because otherwise it’s a tremendous FU to the $doge community. SMH!

Twitter plans to implement crypto payments – DOGE?

Twitter earlier this week filed the necessary paperwork to obtain regulatory approvals to allow it to’introduce payments for its users, including in crypto.

Currently, Twitter’s small team, led by Esther Crawford, general manager of Twitter Payments, is working on a draft of the platform’s payments architecture, as well as the storage and protection of user data.

In addition to addressing that, Twitter has been working on a feature called “Corners“. This feature will allow to get a “Twitter roomThis is a “cash for clunkers” program that rewards content creators.

Against this backdrop, it is unclear whether Elon Musk actually plans to integrate DOGE payments into Twitter, as many Dogecoin fans expect. Upon the announcement of the documentation Twitter filed to obtain the licenses, the price of DOGE briefly jumped 7%.
