Latest news on the war between Russia and Ukraine

Russian authorities have detained two workers at the Zaporiyia nuclear power plant in Ukraine after accusing them of providing information on personnel and vehicles at the facility to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Russian National Guard has said that, thanks to this operation, “illegal actions” that jeopardized the safety of the nuclear power plant, considered the largest in Europe, have been dismantled, TASS news agency reports.

One person has also been arrested for allegedly violating the security cordon, bringing to 26 the number of arrests since Russia took control of this strategic facility in early March.

Despite these operations, the Russian authorities have clarified that the plant continues to operate normally and have defended that National Guard specialists check several times a day the radiation in the area to rule out possible risks.
