Iran warns Israel that “more than 100,000 missiles” are “ready” in Lebanon if war breaks out

The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Hosein Salami, has warned Israel that “more than 100,000 missiles” are “ready” to be fired against the country from Lebanon in case a conflict breaks out.

“In Lebanon, tens of thousands and even more than 100,000 missiles are ready to be fired and create hell for the Zionists at the moment when divine predestination takes place,” Salami has said.

Thus, he has warned the Israeli authorities against any mistake that could provoke a war. “It is enough for the Zionist regime to make a mistake. An operation in Jerusalem would be enough,” he said, according to the Iranian news agency Mehr.

Salami’s remarks came three weeks after Israel’s army chief Aviv Kochavi said it is Israel’s “moral obligation” to prepare a military response against Iran’s nuclear program, amid talks to revive the 2015 deal.

Iran has announced the withdrawal of its commitments on several points of the 2015 nuclear deal after the United States unilaterally pulled out of the pact in 2018, although Iranian officials have advocated that these steps can be reversed if the United States withdraws sanctions and returns to the agreement.
