At least ten people were killed and seven injured in a coal mine accident in the city of Baiyin, in the northwestern Chinese province of Gansu, local authorities said Saturday.
According to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV, the reason for the incident was the detachment of part of a mountainside above the gallery where the workers were located.
According to ‘China Daily’, the rescue work has been completed and all information about the event has been verified.
