YouTube introduces new Communities feature –

If you want to start a conversation with your favorite video creator on YouTube, it can be difficult. Unless you respond to their latest post or video, it can be quite difficult to talk to your favorite creator.

That’s about to change with YouTube Communities. The update was revealed in a new YouTube blog, which tells us everything we need to know about communities. For subscribers, they work similar to a subreddit, allowing users to start their own topics, post and comment on them.

The creator can manage all these interactions, but as one ongoing dialogue, topics will change over time between creators and fans because you won’t always be chatting about the same thing.

Instead of having to join a Discord or Reddit to further communicate with other fans, YouTube now lets you do that directly from its own site. We’ll have to see how popular it is compared to other pre-established means of fan communication.
