Setting the stage for the global launch, Xiaomi completes the Redmi accessories offering for the China market by announcing the new Watch 3, Band 2 and Buds 4 Lite series.
Redmi Watch 3 will finally be available for European buyers. The new smartwatch comes with a 1.75-inch square screen and 341 PPI display density, capable of reaching a maximum brightness of 600 nits. Following current trends seen in the smartphone market, the accessory has flat edges and offers a single physical button. Features include Always-On Display functionality, ensuring that essential information is always on display.
Promising up to 12 days of operation on a single battery charge, the Redmi Watch 3 includes features such as pulse and oxygen concentration monitoring, along with 121 fintess exercise modes, assisted with integrated GPS receiver. The list is rounded out with call pick-up function from the phone using Bluetooth connection, respectively, microphone with background noise cancellation function.
Redmi Band 2 comes with slightly more modest specs, squeezing a 1.47″ screen into a 9.99 mm thick casing. Lacking the function for taking calls via Bluetooth connection, the accessory makes up for it with features like SpO2 concentration measurement and menstrual cycle tracker. The list of exercise modes is reduced to 30, resulting in a battery life of up to 6 days with the supplied battery, or “up to 14 days” in “normal use”.
Coming in vibrant colours, the Redmi Buds 4 Lite are aimed more at a younger audience. The new accessory uses 12 mm diameter drivers, tuned for a good balance between low and mid frequencies. Each headphone weighs just 3.9 grams.
In fact, the whole package: two earphones + carrying case fits easily in your pocket, while delivering up to 20 hours of battery life in normal use. The list of features is completed with IP54 certification for water and dust protection and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring the most efficient use of the wireless connection.
Although only confirmed for the Chinese market, at least some of the Redmi products mentioned above will be arriving in European stores.
