Xiaomi launches new high-end phones this month, with the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro receiving preliminary spec listings and even teaser images
Starting with the less expensive model, the Xiaomi 12T is ready in 8GB RAM and two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. The 12T PRO trim offers both the 8GB and 12GB RAM option, but with 256GB internal storage. Both models will have three colour options: Cosmic Black, Lunar Silver and Clear Blue.
Also from sources we learn that the 12T Pro version will essentially be a rebrand with improved features brought to the Redmi K50 Ultra model already released for the Chinese market. Thus, the main difference is in the camera type, with the Western markets edition getting a 200MP sensor provided by Samsung (ISOCELL HP1).
The standard 12T equipment will instead come with a 108MP camera, similar to implementations seen on other mid-range phones of the current generation.
Both phones come equipped with a 5000mAh battery, but only the Pro trim will support charging speed at 120W, with the “regular” model capped at 67W charging speed via USB-C.
Another notable difference is the chipset model, with the Xiaomi 12T Pro coming with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, while the non-Pro trim gets a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra solution. Apart from the next-gen Qualcomm chipset, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is also expected to come with a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1220×2712 pixels resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate.
