World’s longest-running comic unveils star-studded 85th edition cover -.

Although Marvel and DC generally get the most attention in the comics scene these days, the world’s longest-running comic is actually Beano, a silly children’s comic series from the United Kingdom. Why do we mention this? Because the Beano will soon celebrate its 85th anniversary, and to mark the monumental occasion, the comic has unveiled its special edition cover.

The cover features a huge collection of largely British celebrities, athletes and personalities, including King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, Prince Phillip and Princess Kate, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, Adele, Harry Styles, Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi, KSI, Jill Scott, Ant &; Dec, Claudia Winkleman and what appears to be Kate Bush, Tom Holland and more.

This, of course, is on top of a collection of Beano characters, such as Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx, Gnasher, Roger the Dodger, and so on.

Needless to say, it’s a pretty fantastic way to mark 85 years of the comic series.
