We’ve known for a long time that Samsung is preparing a launch event for the Galaxy S22 on February 9, but now we have some clearer confirmations of this date. First, the source of the Samsung website mentions the date of February 9 for a button that has not yet appeared publicly, which should add the Unpacked event to the calendar, but now we also have a photo proof, as Evan Blass published the image with the press release at the event, just before Samsung sends it officially.
The Galaxy S22 will be unveiled in early February
The event poster, published by Evan Blass, reveals some information about what to expect at the Unpacked event in February. First, we have an S in a glass cube, which suggests that we will see devices in the S range, that is, strong flagships. The title of the event is “The Epic Standard”, which could explain a new meaning for the products in the “S” range. Samsung might consider the Galaxy S22 to offer the “standard” user experience that all users should expect from mobile devices.
Finally, we have the date, February 9, 2022, at 15:00. But we don’t know what time zone this time is, but the Samsung site in the US suggested 10:00 am EST. Thus, most likely, in Romania, the online event will be broadcast at 5 pm:
Samsung Electronics confirmed this date by adding in code to their “Unpacked 2022” website that has not been activated yet. These “add to calendar” links add the Event to your calendar, February 9th 10am EST.

With the poster accessed, Evan Blass also published new images with the Galaxy Tab S8 tablet, which could also be launched during this Unpacked event. We are talking about the basic model, Tab S8, equipped with an 11 ”screen, the smallest in the range. It will offer 16:10 QHD resolution at 120 Hz and will integrate Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The superior model, Tab S8 + will benefit from similar hardware and a larger screen, 12.4 ”, while the Ultra model will use a 14 ”screen with a camera cutout, for the first time on a Samsung tablet.
