When Android 13 beta launches on Oppo phones. First models, updated this month

Now that Android 13 is officially released on Pixel devices, Google partners are also starting to provide details about the release schedule for their phones. Samsung was already offering the option to test OneUI 5.0 with Android 13 in a few regions, and the second partner to offer a test version is Oppo, which is announcing the release of ColorOS 13 in beta for this month on a few models. The software is still in testing for many devices, but we now have a clear timeline for when it will be available for testing.

Oppo among first companies to launch Android 13 beta testing program

The first models to get ColorOS 13 in beta are the Oppo Find X5 and X5 Pro, as expected. These models are the company’s 2022 flagships and offer the highest performance in its portfolio. They will receive the update to Android 13 beta in the next few days, before the end of August.

The 2022 flagships will be followed by the 2021 flagship Find X3 Pro, which, along with the mid-range Reno8 Pro 5G, will receive the ColorOS 13 update in September. October and November will be dedicated to software updates for the Oppo Reno 8, 7 and 6 series, and other popular mid-range variants. Finally, in December 2022, Oppo is preparing to offer the Android 13 update for older flagships or other models in the previously mentioned series that haven’t received the update by then.

But the updates won’t stop there. In the first half of 2023, the company is preparing more releases for models from the last 2 years in the cheaper ranges.
