The Silent Hill-franchise made an unexpected but long-awaited comeback in 2024 with a spectacular remake of Silent Hill 2. But much more awaits fans of the series. When the remake was announced in 2022, revealed Konami also released the next main game in the series, called Silent Hill f, and a narrative horror spinoff developed by No Code and Annapurna Interactive, titled Silent Hill: Townfall. Now that the remake of Silent Hill 2 is behind us, it seems Konami is getting ready to share more information about these two titles.
In an interview with 4Gamer spoke series producer Motoi Okamoto on his ambitions for 2025. He stated that Konami and its development partners will continue to work hard on the previously announced titles after the release of Silent Hill 2 and will also “do their best” to reveal new information about both games.
“By 2024, we will have Silent Hill 2 successfully released, and it was enthusiastically received by fans,” Okamoto said (translation via Gematsu). “What remains now are the already announced titles Silent Hill f and Silent Hill: Townfall. We are working hard on both games to meet fan expectations. We will do our best to deliver new updates.”
Silent Hill f is being developed in collaboration with NeoBards Entertainment and is set in rural Japan in the 1960s, rather than in the infamous city Silent Hill. Silent Hill: Townfall, on the other hand, is being developed by the team behind Observation, No Code, using Unreal Engine 5. According to rumors, this is the first part of a planned anthology series.
