The first trailer for Pinocchio has been released, revealing some details about the latest film adaptation of the famous story, coming directly from Disney.

As you can already imagine, the film will be based on the famous book written by Carlo Collodi in 1883, but also on the 1940 Disney movie, which revolves around the wooden puppet that comes to life thanks to the powers of the Blue Fairy and who wants with all his zeal to become a real boy. As he struggles to fulfill his desire, Pinocchio will meet a variety of characters who will fork him and find the ability of his nose to grow every time he tells a lie.

Tom Hanks will “get into the skin” of Geppetto in the new Pinocchio

Tom Hanks will play the role of the creator of the doll, Geppetto, with Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio, Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Luke Evans as Coachman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, Keegan-Michael Key and Lorraine Bracco . The production of the film ended in 2021, and now the audience finally has the opportunity to see some images from the film.

The first teaser trailer for Pinocchio has been revealed on The Red Carpet’s official Twitter page. The video, which announces that the official trailer will arrive today, shows us Jiminy Cricket and Blue Fairy.

While the teaser Pinocchio does not fully reveal images with the main character, the first sequences focus on Jiminy Cricket and Blue Fairy and provide an overview of what will be.

Cynthia Erivo, twice nominated for an Oscar, seems to come up with her own interpretation of the iconic Blue Fairy character, which will surely be appreciated by the public.

The Disney movie is expected to be released in September this year.
