UNIVERSITY Esports by Predatorthe largest esports, technology and education project developed for university students around the world, returns to Spain with a new edition. Last season, the following participated 100% of public universities of the national territory, consolidating the 9 years of development of the project and celebrating the finals in person at Marbella.
The new season of UNIVERSITY Esports by Predator kicked off the September 24at which time it was registration was opened for all university students. The objective is to promote the involvement of students in the esports sector through the competition, training and job opportunitieswhile offering fun and entertainment thanks to the different activities that are part of the project.
The project is supported by brands such as Intel, VARTA and Riot Games. Together with VARTA Consumer Batteries, a special activation will be carried out through a recycling contest throughout the universities of Spain. The aim of this initiative is to encourage the recycling of used batteries among the university students participating in the project.
For the third consecutive year, in line with our ‘VARTA LOVES GAMECHANGERS’ concept, we encourage students to get actively involved in recycling and sustainability. The aim is to encourage participation and engagement of the younger generation in these important causes. In addition, environmental awareness is doubly rewarding, as there are great prizes to be won.

First split, changes and format
For years, the competition of UNIVERSITY Esports by Predator has had registrations available during all months of competition. However, this year, registrations began on September 24 but they will have an end: it will be on October 25. The main reason is the competition format. It will be the first time that UNIVERSITY Esports by Predator have a Swiss formatwhere all teams will play during four weeksfacing opponents of similar level

Competition dates
This edition the games chosen for the tenth season are. League of Legends y VALORANTby the hand of Riot Games. The finals will be online and can be viewed through the Twitch channel of UNIVERSITY Esports by Predator. In addition, a prize pool of 500€ for the champions of each game.

UNIVERSITY Tour
The university tour will take place during the first split, visiting more than 15 universities throughout Spain, offering a wide range of gaming space and innovative activities so that university students can enjoy videogames, always with a free of charge. One of the new activities that will be offered to university students will be the inclusion of VALORANT Consolaswhere you will be able to play and test the new game from Riot Games for PS5.
