EA SPORTS NHL 24 World Championship returns to the World Stage

Just ahead of the worldwide launch of the EA SPORTS™ NHL 24 this october 6, the National Hockey League has announced that its annual esports competition, the EA SPORTS NHL 24 World Championship, will return to the action-packed virtual ice.

The annual tournament will present the best players EA SPORTS NHL 24 players in the world and give January 2024, with enrollment opening in December 2023.

The #NHL24WC this season will include a number of new features, including that. six players in total (four from North America and two from Europe) will advance to the World Final to compete in person for the World Champion title, the Champion’s belt and a grand prize.

Adding that the 32 Club Championship events during last season’s competition was a very successful way to increase participation opportunities for the NHL player community. We continue to emphasize fun and inclusion when finalizing our season format, and this new season’s tournament should provide everyone with memorable experiences.

Tournament Highlights:

• There will be in-person and online esports tournaments. Each of the 32 NHL clubs will be eligible to participate, as new this year. Both the champion and runner-up clubs will automatically qualify for the knockout round of the EA SPORTS NHL 24 North American Championship, where they will be eligible for a higher ranking than those who qualify for the Online Open.

• The North American tournament will also feature an in-person qualifying event at Rogers (Canada)/Honda (USA), the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend February 1-4.. The top four players from this event will earn berths to the NHL 24 North American Console Finals.

• On the other hand, there is the esports event Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series 2024although this season will not be a qualifier for the NHL24WC.. The winner of the Club Championship of the New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils.will compete in a live mini-tournament over the weekend to determine the Stadium Series Champion, who will not only take home bragging rights, but also a fantastic outdoor field hockey experience and a commemorative trophy.

• In addition to the qualifier during the Online Open Play phase, the European side of the tournament will also feature two Open Play events, the New Years Tournament and the EU Chel Challengein which both the winner and runner-up of each console (PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series) will automatically advance to the Bracket Play.

• All events will be played on next generation consoles only, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series with enhanced cross-platform capabilities. New this year, EA SPORTS NHL 24 allows you to play against players from the same generation of Sony and Microsoft consoles on HUT and WOC for the most connected Chel experience to date.

• Players will compete in all EA SPORTS™ NHL 24 World Championship™ qualifiers in both North America and Europe utilizing the Field hockey Ultimate Team (“HUT”).

• Face-to-face events for the North American Championship, European Championship and World Final will be played on console only. PlayStation 5.

• Players provided feedback on a more condensed timeline, so the NHL24 World Championship to conclude in April to coincide with the end of the NHL regular season.
