On Telegram, Podoliak has claimed that Russia “is trying to destabilize the situation” in Transnistria and has hinted to Moldova to “wait for the guests”.

“The bad news: if Ukraine does not resist, tomorrow the enemy will be at the gates of Chisinau,” he assured, before specifying that “the good news is that Ukraine will guarantee the strategic security of the region.” However, he lamented that Ukraine “has to work as one team”.

The Russian Presidency stated this Tuesday that the recent incidents in the Moldovan separatist region of Transnistria “cause concern”, after the explosions registered in the last hours in the area, which have led the president of Moldova, Maia Sandu, to call a meeting of the Supreme Security Council.
