Thor: Love and Thunder, unique behind-the-scenes footage: Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi show you around the set

Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi host a tour of New Asgard in a new behind-the-scenes video ahead of the official release of Thor: Love and Thunder.

Hemsworth reprises his role as Marvel’s reimagined Norse god of thunder in Waititi’s signature production as a direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok. Love and Thunder also stars Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe and Christian Bale.

New Asgard is one of the most famous locations for action in the MCU. Originally known as Tønsberg in Phase 1, chosen in films such as Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, it became the place where we last saw Odin (Sir Anthony Hopkins) in Thor: Ragnarok after he said goodbye to Thor and Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

After the refugee Asgardians survived the attack of Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame went with the idea that the new residents helped develop a new community, with Valkyrie becoming the ultimate leader. As New Asgard has become a full-blown tourist location, in a recent video (which you can watch here), Hemsworth and Waititi gave fans some key on-set footage.

Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi plunged the set of Thor: Love and Thunder into chaos

In this video, created by ET Online, Hemsworth and Waititi take a tour of the New Asgard set during the production of Love and Thunder. Waititi also pointed out some of the tourist spots in the New Asgard universe, such as a Thanos-based ice cream shop called “Infinity Conez” and the Asgardian Tours boat rides, while causing much chaos on set.
