A Palestinian has been shot dead Thursday during a clash in the Israeli town of Zarzir, north of the city of Nazareth, according to security sources quoted by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The victim, a 31-year-old man and resident of the town of Tamra, was sitting with his friends in a room, when masked men stormed into the place where he was and shot him dead.
Israeli authorities have indicated that the background to the incident suggests that it could be a dispute between criminals, Israeli daily ‘The Jerusalem Post’ has reported.
With these two murders, the number of people belonging to Arab society killed “as a result of crime” so far this year has risen to 52, according to WAFA.
