That’s what I love about the De’Longhi Magnifica S – it’s extremely easy to use and clean and only makes coffee, espresso or milk froth. And as long as she does it really well, that’s enough.

I don’t need a touch display and 36 different types of coffee to choose from on a fully automatic coffee machine. We set the grind level and water temperature once at the beginning and it’s been working like clockwork ever since.

Descale the coffee machine. You are only two keystrokes away from that. All you need is a large container and my secret tip: no overpriced brand descaler, but something cheap from Amazon. For example this liquid descaler works perfectly for me and costs less than half of the original.

The Magnifica S makes coffee for the whole family and exactly to our liking. I like it a little stronger and turn the knob on the coffee machine all the way up early in the morning. My partner loves it milder and with warmed oat milk. Thanks to the milk frother and hot steam, that’s no problem either.

We are perfectly happy with the fully automatic coffee machine. The only thing that could push this machine out of my kitchen is a really chic (and unfortunately excruciatingly expensive) portafilter and only because I think the parts and the ritual behind it are just incredibly cool.
