After the unboxing and my first external impression of the new tado° X products Today I’m dedicating myself to installing the radiator thermostats and setting them up in the app.

The new and intelligent radiator thermostats from tado° say “Hi!” In less than five minutes I had replaced three thermostats.

To get one thing out of the way: the entire experience from unpacking the products, downloading the tado° app to attaching the thermostats to my radiators was an absolute dream! I would like to give tado° high praise for this.

Never freeze again and still reduce heating costs – here’s how!

Smart Schedules: In the tado° app you can adjust your heating completely to your needs with intelligent schedules for each room. These schedules are then divided into two areas: “Home” and “Away”. So you also have the option to further refine each schedule based on your presence, but more on that in a moment on the topic of “geofencing”.

With the schedules you have set, for example, the bathroom is already comfortably warm, the alarm clock rings, and your study heats up for you whenever you are in the home office.

The app is simple and visually appealing. Setting up a comprehensive and intelligent schedule is also really easy.

Even more control thanks to geofencing: If you leave your apartment or house, the schedules automatically switch to the “Away” range and lower the temperatures as much as you have set. So it only really heats when someone is at home. If you wish, this can of course be deactivated completely, but in my opinion there is no easier way to save energy and therefore expensive heating costs.

Our everyday lives cannot always be planned. If it is, no one wants to think about their heating every day. With geofencing, heating is only provided when someone benefits from the heat. What I particularly like about this contact is the function that the thermostats start heating again on the way home. What this means for us in concrete terms is that we will never have to turn down the heating in our home office again if we don’t work from home.
