The Superliga Segunda El Corte Inglés presents new contenders for promotion and new competition format

The Superliga Segunda El Corte Inglésthe silver category of the League of Legends in Spain that organizes LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO), will have six new promotion contenders in 2024 and a new competition format.

The six teams that will make their debut in the Superliga Segunda El Corte Inglés are Heracles Gaming (Ceuta), Principality (Asturias), Stormbringers, Oxygen Kumiho (Valencia/Madrid) and Lua Gaming (Galicia), in addition to ECORP (Elche), which achieved promotion through the Circuito Tormenta. These teams will fight to be in the Superliga in 2025 together with Xoldiers y Villarreal QLASHthe two teams that remain in Segunda compared to last season.

Regarding the format, LVP is also betting on a series of variations that will make the competition more vibrant. Due to the participation of eight teams, the regular season will include 14 rounds which will be played on Fridays starting on January 19, the date chosen for the kick-off.

The main change with respect to previous seasons is that only the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs: the first will face the second for the first place in the final; third and fourth will play each other and the winner will face the loser of the first against the second for the other place in the final.

The El Corte Inglés Superliga Segunda plays a key role in the development of the professional League of Legends scene. In 2024, without going any further, three teams that were in the Second League last year will participate in Superliga: CASE, ZETA and Ramboot. Therefore, we invite the new members of Superliga Segunda El Corte Inglés to work on their brand identity, encourage the growth of their communities and make long-term bets to be prepared for the great challenge of promotion to Superliga.
