Poland, with 2.4 million refugees, is the country neighboring Ukraine that has received the most refugees in the last month, although 643,000 arrivals have also been registered in Romania, 395,000 in Moldova, 390,000 in Hungary and 301,000 in Slovakia.

In addition, UNHCR estimates that 15,000 people have crossed the Ukrainian border into Belarus and 350,000 who have arrived in Russia. However, the Russian authorities raise this figure to around 600,000, according to sources quoted by the TASS news agency.

The UN considers this migratory exodus the fastest registered in Europe since the Second World War and for now it does not dare to put a ceiling on it, to the extent that tens of thousands of people continue to leave Ukraine every day due to the lack of agreement to put end to fighting.
