Xbox and Rare are pleased to announce today that the first chapter of Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island is now available for free to owners of all editions of Sea of Thieves on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11 PC, Steam and all Xbox Game Pass members. Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island is a collaboration between Rare and Lucasfilm Games that brings together two beloved casts of pirate characters through an unprecedented story. The Legend of Monkey Island is a hilarious and heartfelt love letter to the legendary adventure game series Monkey Island. This collaboration includes three Tall Tales, Guybrush Threepwood’s adventures in the Sea of Thieves and met Guybrush, ghost pirate LeChuck and more characters (and voice actors) from the Monkey Island game series. Tall Tales will be delivered in short order starting today as free updates for owners of every Sea of Thieves edition and Xbox Game Pass members.

With three Tall Tales coming this summer scenario, whether solving puzzles, the Insult Sword Fighting scenario or navigating through lava-filled catacombs with Guybrush as your guide, this free expansion update is a chance for Sea of Thieves edition owners to experience the world of Monkey Island like never before between Sea of Thieves and the Monkey Island series.
