The Domino’s League of Legends Super Leaguethe official league in Spain of Riot Games’ game, organized by LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO)presented this Tuesday its 2025 season at an event held in Madrid in Game which was attended by representatives of the entire esports community in the country.
As of 2025, Europe’s longest-running competition will adapt its calendar to that of the LEC and will feature. three seasons per year. In addition, LVP has announced that the season finale will be a final four in person to be held in Madrid the last weekend of Augustwhere the four best teams of the year will face each other. There will be more than just two matches: LVP will turn the weekend into a big League of Legends party in which, in addition to the competition itself, there will be activities for the community and other surprises that will be unveiled in the coming months.
From LVP we believe that it is time to launch this new final four format that works so well in other sports, such as basketball, as it will bring together the best teams with their fans in a weekend dedicated to Domino’s Super League and League of Legends.
Jordi Soler, CEO of LVP
As in the LEC, the national season will have three seasons: winter, spring and summer. In each of them, the ten teams will play against each other in a single round in Bo1 (best of 1) format, with the best eight teams qualifying for the next phase. This second phase will be in Swiss format: the teams that lose two matches will be eliminated and those that win two matches will advance to the next round. Both the semifinals and the final of each split will be played in best-of-five maps.
The culmination of the new format will come at the end of August: the four teams with the most points over the three seasons will qualify directly for the final four, which will be played in Madrid at a venue to be announced soon.
Welcome to Domino’s Superleague
Another of the great news presented by LVP in Madrid in Game is the agreement reached with Domino’s to become title sponsor of the Superliga. Ten years after the arrival of Domino’s to LVP, the brand has decided to go a step further in its commitment to the national competition and will be its main sponsor. The Domino’s Superliga will debut in 2025.
At Domino’s Pizza, we are proud to celebrate our tenth year of immersion in the video game industry. Through our Domino’s Tribute project, we pay tribute to the rich history of gaming in Spain. This commitment is reflected in our continued support of the Superliga, now as title sponsor. We strongly believe in the potential of esports and are excited to contribute to the growth and success of the national competition. Welcome to Domino’s Superliga.
Silvia Serrano, Domino’s MKT Manager
The success of the Superliga cannot be understood without the support of brands. And among them it is essential to highlight Domino’s, which has been supporting the development of our competitions for ten years. After going through several stages as a sponsor, the final step was to become the title sponsor of the most important esports competition in the country. Welcome to the Domino’s Super League.
Jordi Soler, CEO of LVP
The Superliga will be sponsored by Domino’s, KITKAT, MediaMarkt, Cacaolat, Norauto, Universae and Air Europa in 2025.
New formula for costreams
The changes not only affect the competition and sponsors, but also the Domino’s Super League broadcasting channels. From 2025, in addition to the LVP Twitch channel, which will remain the main one, the competition will be broadcast on the channels of other referents of the League of Legends community in Spain such as EsportmanÃacos, Javier “Toad” Cepero, Manute or Jaume “MindFreak” Marcet. Likewise, teams will continue to have the option of broadcasting their own matches.
The Domino’s Super League is the community competition. A few years ago we opened the costreams to the teams involved and now we are convinced that, in order to keep growing, it is necessary to impact new audiences of the main content creators in the community. We are convinced that Domino’s Super League will be much talked about in 2025.
