The power of pop star Taylor Swift continues to ring true, as she has been named Spotify’s Global Top Artist for the second year in a row. This is thanks to a 2024 in which her fans listened to her music on the platform more than 26.6 billion times, a record matching year.

Swift set a record in April when she debuted her The Tortured Poets Department album, which garnered more than 300 million streams within the first 24 hours, eventually leading to it also becoming the most streamed album in a single week. The song Fortnight, which was on the album, also became Spotify’s most streamed song in a single day in history when it arrived.
