Sylvester Stallone unstoppable in Samaritan: when you can see the new film on Amazon Prime

Prime Video has released a series of new images from Samaritan, the upcoming superhero movie in which you can see Sylvester Stallone himself.

Sylvester Stallone needs no introduction. However, perhaps we should remember that the great actor is remembered, in the collective memory of movie lovers, for his Oscar-winning performance in the 1976 action drama Rocky, among many others, of course.

Furthermore, Stallone previously enjoyed collaborations with the MCU, playing Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, as well as the DCEU, ticking off the role of King Shark in The Suicide Squad.

Samaritan is the latest film to feature Sylvester Stallone. Here, the actor plays a superhero extremely passionate about his work (back in the day) whose teenage neighbor, Sam (Javon Walton), is tasked with convincing him to come out of hiding to save the world.

New official images from Samaritan, officially released by Amazon Prime

Prime Video has unveiled some new footage from Samaritan, which is a somewhat logical decision since the release date is fast approaching. Similar to the previously released images, Stallone’s character, Mr. Smith, is depicted as being dressed rather modestly (almost depressingly modest) in jeans and a hoodie.

However, there is no detraction from his nature as a hero with sensational powers. One image shows Smith effortlessly knocking down a group of boys.

In addition to Stallone and Walton, the photos also offer a first look at Pilou Asbæk (Game of Thrones) as the potential antagonist, Cyrus.

The cast also includes Dascha Polanco, Moises Arias (The King of Staten Island), Martin Starr (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Jared Odrick, Michael Aaron Milligan and Deacon Randle.

Samaritan is set to officially debut on Amazon Prime on August 26, 2022.
