Star Citizen is free during Invictus Week from May 19-30 – That’s Gaming

Star Citizen’s annual Invictus Launch Week 2953, which gives players a unique opportunity to play for free, returns in honor of the brave men and women of the Navy and Armed Forces who are committed to the UEE and the protection of humanity. The event also celebrates aerospace and defense manufacturers coming together to show off their newest and most popular vehicles used or inspired by the military. The expo returns to Area18 at ArcCorp, where new players can enjoy the enhanced experience for new players to begin their adventures in the verse and then head straight to the show floor where manufacturers take turns showing off their latest and greatest vehicles. This year’s expo debuts Mirai, the next-generation performance car brand dedicated to pushing the boundaries of any industry. Mirai’s first vehicles, the formidable Fury and its Fury MX variant, can be purchased or rented for free during the event and showcase the manufacturer’s advanced technologies and powerful weapons. The power of the UEE will be on full display during the festivities, with the return of the RSI Bengal fleet flying through the Stanton system. The Aegis Javelin also returns, stopping at Hurston, microTech, Crusader and ArcCorp to give pilots a chance to take a walking tour of the massive destroyer and learn about its capabilities directly from the crew.

Invictus Launch Week 2953 takes place on the planet ArcCorp with events hosted at Area18, one of the game’s main commercial ports. New players are encouraged to create characters from Area18 to take advantage of the enhanced experience for new players, learning some basics of navigating on foot and in the air before following the in-game directions to the expo center.
