Sporting Clube de Portugal renovates its esports facilities at José Alvalade stadium

The Portuguese soccer club Sporting Clube de Portugal has renovated its e-sports facilities. at its José Alvalade Stadium. The facilities, known as NOS eStadiumhas been renovated with the help of the club’s sponsor, NOS, one of Portugal’s largest telecommunications companies, including a dedicated high-speed 5G Internet server, in addition to HP Omen and PlayStation equipment..

These are located in the stadium itself and overlook the field. During Sporting matches, the sports facilities are open to season ticket holders and serve as a meeting point and a place to watch the matches.. On other occasions, the Sporting esports players use the facilities to compete and practice. The club currently has a squad in Rocket League, with plans to expand to more esports games in the near future.

The Sporting Clube de Portugal is one of the most popular sports clubs in Portugal, along with the Porto and Benfica. Based in Lisbon, the club is best known for its soccer division, but competes in more than 40 sports, including esports. The club was the first Portuguese sports club to enter this sector, year 2016.

The support to the Sporting CP Esports team deepens the existing technological partnership and positions NOS in an area of accelerated expansion, nationally and internationally. At this moment, the team already has at its disposal a state-of-the-art technological structure and the NOS box at the José Alvalade Stadium has been renovated to become the team’s training center and competition arena.
