Realme 10 Pro Plus confirmed for global launch. Comes with curved screen and 108MP camera

The Realme 10 Pro Plus is the better-equipped version of the Realme 10, already launched on the European market for €230.

The Pro Plus version swaps the budget MediaTek chipset, the Helio G99, for the much more powerful Dimensity 1080 solution, which is almost 50% faster in single-core and 25% faster in multi-core processing tasks. Android gaming performance also increases by around 50%.

Another detail not found on the Realme 10 Pro is the curved 6.7-inch screen, added to the Plus model for a premium look and the illusion of a design without a visible side bezel. However, critics might say that the solution is no longer quite fashionable and has clear drawbacks, starting with the impairment of the full-screen viewing experience, continuing with the difficulty of applying protective foils and the screen’s lower resistance to side impacts. The good news is such OLED screens were originally designed with much more expensive phones in mind, receiving technologies that deliver very good image quality. And in this case we also have 120Hz refresh rate on a phone with a 93% screen-to-case ratio.

Although at the end of the year 2022 may be considered a budget solution, the 108MP main sensor camera is a competent solution, with proven performance on many smartphone models released in the last two years. The difference is that you can now get this feature at an even more attractive price. And for those who really look at the megapixel count, Realme also includes the option for 200MP capture, achieved using the interpolation process. The arrangement is completed with a 2MP sensor for approximating DoF effects and 16MP front camera.

A 5000 mAh battery, supporting 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, also joins the list of features, delivering around 50% charge after 17 minutes of standby, using the USB-C interface and AC adapter included in the accessory pack. The offering is completed with 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
