In addition, all proceeds from the play “Hey Hey Rise Up” will be donated to a special fund for Ukrainian refugees.

The novelty is that the voice is provided by Andri Klyvniuk, from the Ukrainian band Boombox. Pink Floyd used Klyvniuk’s voice as he sang a protest song in the center of the Ukrainian capital.

It should be noted that David Gilmour has close ties with Ukraine, having a daughter-in-law from that country.

“It was a powerful moment that made me want to put it to music,” said David Gilmour.

The band also announced that Andri Klyvniuk is currently in hospital after joining the Ukrainian army to fight the terror sown by the invading Russia. He was hit by shrapnel.

“We, like so many, have felt anger and frustration over this vile act of invading an independent and peaceful democratic country, whose people have been killed by one of the world’s great powers,” said David Gimour.
