A Palestinian was shot and wounded this Friday after being shot by Israeli security forces after throwing a concrete block at a vehicle in which Israelis were traveling in the surroundings of a settlement in the West Bank.
The Israeli Army has stated on its account on the social network Twitter that “a suspect threw a concrete block at an Israeli vehicle and even tried to open the doors of the vehicle, in which Israeli civilians were traveling, near the Beit El settlement” .
“A force from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began the arrest procedure for the suspect, which included opening fire on him,” he detailed, before adding that the injured man, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital. . Finally, he stressed that the attacker was carrying a knife and “a bottle of acid.”
On the other hand, there has been a shooting during an operation by Israeli forces in the town of Burqin, located on the outskirts of Jenin, without the Israeli authorities having ruled for now on what happened, as reported by the newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.
Local sources quoted by the Palestinian news agency WAFA have indicated that Israeli forces have launched projectiles into the surroundings of a refugee camp near Jenin, an event that has resulted in one injury, after which the security forces have stormed in the zone.
Thus, they have stated that the raid has led to clashes in the area and have highlighted that the wounded would be Daud al Zubaidi, brother of Zakaria al Zubaidi, one of the six prisoners who managed to escape in 2021 from an Israeli maximum security prison. All of them were arrested days later.
These incidents have taken place two days after the death of the Palestinian-American journalist ShirÃn abu Aklé, who worked for the Qatari television network Al Jazeera, after being shot in the head during an operation by Israeli security forces in Jenin. .
