Oppo Find N2 Flip gets preliminary specs list

Recently revealed in an unofficial video presentation, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is still at the prototype stage, in preparation for an official launch anticipated for early next year.

According to rumors, the Oppo Find N2 Flip will be announced on December 14 as one of the most compact foldable phones to date, equipped with a 3.26-inch external display. Thus, the foldable screen will reach a diagonal of 6.8 inches (comparable to a conventional candybar design smartphone) only in extended mode. Thus, the folding mechanism is deployed horizontally, as in the Motorola RAZR series.

But the exact details of the configuration are not very clear, nor is the exterior design, with the prototype pictured being “disguised” in a bulky temporary housing.â

Meanwhile, rumors seem to confirm a premium-level configuration, centered on the Dimensity 9000+ chipset shipped by MediaTek.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is expected with a 50MP main camera (Sony IMX766), and 8MP ultrawide camera (Sony IMX355). The front camera will be a Sony IMX709, with 32MP resolution. The image processor seems to be MariSilicon X NPU, already encountered in the Oppo Find X5 Pro series.

The battery responsible for supporting the two OLED screens will deliver a total capacity of 4300 mAh, spread over two Li-ion cells (one for each half of the case. The arrangement allows a charging speed of 43W via USB-C connection, enough to cut the standby time to less than an hour for full charge.

It only remains to be seen when the Chinese manufacturer will manage to ship the new foldable phone outside of Asian markets, with initial launch plans targeting the Chinese market only. But based on recent rumours, it would seem that the Oppo Find N2 Flip could arrive with limited stock in European store offerings in January-March.
