Yesterday, Dune: Spice Wars released the Conquest update, the biggest yet for the 4X real-time strategy game. With Conquest Mode’s unique scenarios, benefits and challenges, each run is a new epic battle for the top of Arrakis’ food chain. This highly replayable and unique solo challenge requires a deft hand to pull strings in all directions, from politics and economics to intrigue and the art of war.

The Conquest update is the 4th major Early Access update to Dune: Spice Wars, and the next is the full launch update.

Conquest Mode encourages you to experiment with new playstyles for each of the major houses, expanding capabilities with powerful new unique advantages as you respond to challenging scenarios. Each run progresses differently and takes about 10 hours to complete.

In addition to this important new feature, the update has much more to offer. Tutorials have been expanded, allowing newcomers to land on Arrakis much more smoothly. Major trade-offs and additions cover almost every aspect of the game, with improvements to espionage, an overhaul of assassinations, improvements to the economy and a reworking of nuclear weapons and resource management.

In addition to all of the above, the Conquest update includes new regions, a new unique building for each faction, quality of life improvements, improved user interface and nine new music tracks.

The Conquest update is another major step forward in the work that began nearly a year ago in Early Access: to pave the full way for the epic and brutal drama set at the center of the universe, Arrakis. To sharpen the many moving parts that make Dune: Spice Wars unique: balancing all scales, intrigue and espionage, ruthless battles, Landsraad politics, the flow of spice and the ever looming threat of Arrakis itself.
