Mike Flanagan on the trail of Vincent Price: what we know so far about Fall of the House of Usher, which you can watch on Netflix

The upcoming Netflix series, Fall of the House of Usher, has wrapped filming and comes straight from Mike Flanagan, who previously delivered The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass.

Fall of The House of Usher is based on the novel of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe. The miniseries brings back such familiar names as Carla Gugino, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Henry Thomas, T’Nia Miller and Kate Siegel.

Although not much is known about the plot of this horror film, we can suspect that it will include many classic elements that will be adapted by Flanagan to today’s world, as we have already become accustomed to.

Production began in January of this year, and now Flanagan has confirmed that filming has wrapped on Fall of the House of Usher. He announced this in a tweet published on Sunday, where he credited everyone who made this new limited series possible.

As Flanagan himself said, production wasn’t exactly smooth sailing, due to the Covid-19 pandemic that slowed everything down. Even so, the miniseries is on track.

Fall of the House of Usher will have to wait its turn on Netflix

Now that Fall of the House of Usher has wrapped filming, hopefully we’ll find out a Netflix release date soon. However, Netflix is unlikely to make any substantial updates on this limited series before the release of Flanagan’s next project, The Midnight Club, in October.

Even so, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that we’ll soon hear more news directly from the director.

In 1960, Vincent Price was making history in House of Usher, inspired by the same story. Although the budget for this production was limited, the film entered the cult category and was a real inspiration for all lovers of this niche.
