Meta tags AI images on Facebook and Instagram -.

AI images continue to flood the Internet, and while it is still fairly easy to tell what is real and what was generated by a computer program, there may come a day fairly soon when that will become more difficult.
Meta hopes to intervene here and will try to label images created by AI so that users will know the difference between what is real and what is fake. However, one expert told the BBC that this detection technology is easily avoidable.

“They may be able to train their detector to be able to flag some images specifically generated by some specific models.” says Professor Soheil Feizi, director of the Reliable AI Lab at the University of Maryland. “But those detectors can be easily bypassed by lightweight processing on top of the images, and they can also have a high rate of false positives.”

So it looks like Meta will have to do the work if it really wants to stop the spread of AI images all over the Internet.
