Apple may be known today for computers, tablets and phones, but they once made shoes. Not for sale, mind you, because they were only available to employees, making them all the rarer for a consumer.
If you have size 10.5 feet US and want to be the talk of the town, you might want to check out Sotheby’s latest auction, where the ultra rare shoes are going on sale. They are expected to fetch about $50,000.
Despite being made in the late 1980s or early 1990s, the shoes are still considered new in their condition, but are consistent with their age. They are believed to be one of two pairs made by Apple; the other is kept in the company’s archives.
