While many Formula 1 teams can be quite rigid with their color schemes and the painted appearance of their cars, McLaren is a carmaker that likes to routinely shake things up. In the past, we’ve seen the team run significantly different liveries to mark sponsorships and historic moments, and we’ll get more of that this weekend at the British Grand Prix.
McLaren has announced that it will return to the classic chrome color scheme it used in the late 2000s and early 2010s. This will be a one-off livery using the iconic papaya orange as a secondary color, rather than the primary color as is typical of McLaren’s F1 cars.
Both McLaren drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, will also wear matching new racing gear to complement the new livery.
