Lego and Formula 1 are no strangers. The pair has worked on several projects in the past, although mostly in relation to a select few teams, such as McLaren and Mercedes-AMG. In the future, the pair will expand their efforts as part of a new strategic partnership.
As announced in a press release, we have been told that Lego and Formula 1 will collaborate on a series of new sets that will debut in 2025 and offer building opportunities for fans of all ages, whether Duplo sets or much more complex builds for adults.
Starting with the 2025 season, there will also be a series of activations at Grand Prix around the world, but the sets are definitely the more exciting part of the deal, something Lego has teased a bit more about.
“Fans can dive deeper into the thrill of racing at top speed, brick by brick, while recreating exciting moments and icons of the track, pit lane and garages in the form of LEGO bricks: it offers the opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience the complexity of top motorsport in a whole new way.”
What do you hope Lego bricks as part of this Formula One collaboration? Perhaps the iconic battle of Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard, Aryton Senna’s glorious poler lap at Monaco in 1988 or Lewis Hamilton crawling across the finish line at Silverstone in 2020?
