Lamborghini has unveiled a brand new car that will be put through the ringer at various endurance events around the world. The car, known as the SC63, with SC standing for Squadra Corse, is powered by a 3.8-liter twinturbo V8 engine, in addition to an electric motor capable of emitting 500 kW of power.
The SC63 is described by Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann as “the most advanced race car ever produced by Lamborghini” and a hybrid prototype that “matches our vision for the future of high-performance mobility, as demonstrated for street-legal cars with the launch of the Revuelto.”
In terms of where we can expect to see the SC63, the car will race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, the GTP class of the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship Endurance Cup, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
