Hillary Clinton rules out running for U.S. president again

Former U.S. Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has confessed Tuesday that she will not run again for president of the United States.

She confirmed this during an interview with the CBS network, in which she ruled out the possibility of running for office again as she did in 2016, when she was defeated by former President Donald Trump.

However, she has stressed that she will do “everything she can” to ensure that the United States has “a president who respects democracy and the rule of law and defends institutions.”

In this sense, he has pointed out that Trump does not fit “in that category”, and that “he should be completely defeated” if he runs again.

Trump has hinted over the past few weeks at the possibility of running again for the U.S. presidency in 2024, at a time when polls indicate he has a good chance of clinching the Republican nomination.
