The Ministry of Health has recently initiated the process of automatic update of the covid certificates that were issued at the time by the Ministry itself and that shall expire before June 30, 2023.
Healthcare is sending ex officio, through the e-mail provided by users, the notice of availability of the electronic administrative notification from which you can download the updated and fully valid EU-CCD until the date indicated by the European regulations in force.
Likewise, the General Secretariat for Digital Health, Information and Innovation in the National Health System of the Ministry of Health has been sending out, for some days now, a text message via SMS to the cell phone of the persons whose EU-CCD was issued by the Ministry and requested by the user in ‘Wallet’ format, already updated.
Thus, any person who wishes to do so can reapply for their EU-CCD through the website of the Ministry of Health, authenticated with a digital certificate.
As they recall, according to the Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament. and of the Council of 14 June 2021 on a framework for the issuance, verification and acceptance of interoperable covid vaccination, diagnostic test and recall certificates (EU digital covid certificate, EU-CCD) and, with the aim of facilitating the free movement of persons during pandemi, the Ministry of Health, complementing the work of the autonomous communities, issues and delivers these certificates, only in electronic format and only for vaccination and recovery modalities. This regulation extends the validity of the certificates until June 30, 2023.
