Electric scooter manufacturer Gogoro has lifted the curtain on its new flagship smart scooter. Known as the Pulse, the scooter would be capable of operating on “unprecedented levels of acceleration and speed.” all thanks to a new aerodynamic design and hyperdrive powertrain.
Gogoro notes that the Pulse is capable of a whopping 0-50 km/h acceleration of 3.05 seconds while having a maximum speed of 11,000 and 378 Nm of torque at the rear wheel. The power offered by the electric motor is said to be 9.0 kW.
The aerodynamic redesign is offered to reduce drag and promote airflow cooling on the electric motor. It is claimed that this makes the Pulse Gogoro’s most efficient smartscooter to date.
Otherwise, the scooter also uses an adaptive LED lighting system that adjusts as the rider increases speed and turns, and even adapts to changing weather conditions. The scooter also has a smart cockpit with a 10.25-inch panoramic HD touchscreen that can display navigation and traffic information and adjust the scooter’s riding mode to the terrain it traverses.
The Pulse offers Apple Wallet and Find My integration, meaning you don’t have to carry a physical key to unlock the scooter, and you can use your phone if you forget where you parked it.
As for the release plans for the Pulse, there’s no word on price yet, but shipping is expected to begin in late Q2 2024 for those in Taiwan.
