Galaxy A14 appears in unofficial images. What’s new

Compared to its A13 predecessor, the Galaxy A14 could get a slightly narrower bezel around the screen and slightly upgraded design on the back.

Launched last year in December, the Galaxy A13 first came only in 4G trim, with the 5G model only unveiled in June this. The former came with the MediaTek Helio G80 solution on 12nm, while the latter also got a performance upgrade, given by the Dimensity 700 chipset on 7nm. Both variants got quad-camera system with 50MP main sensor, 5MP ultrawide camera, 2MP macro and DoF sensor each.

Also expected around the winter shopping season, the Galaxy A14 looks like it will be released in one version, with 5G. The new smartphone comes in a case measuring 167.7 x 78.7 x 9.3mm and an improved design. Framed by a slightly narrower bezel with infinity-U cutout (sleeker than the infinity-V solution applied so far), the LCD screen combines FHD+ resolution with an increased diagonal too at 6.8 inches (up from 6.5 inches for the A13).

Thicker by 0.5mm than both Galaxy A13 versions, the new A14 model could hide a larger battery than the 5000mAh solution used last year, Samsung thus appealing to buyers in emerging markets (e.g. India) who prefer phones with the longest battery life possible.
