Find X5 Pro will be delivered in two variants: with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Dimensity 9000

Find X5 Pro now has a release date, and Oppo has even confirmed the design of the phone, which is portrayed in original photos with a cover similar to what we saw in the leaks in the last few months. However, the Chinese manufacturer has revealed some surprising information about its new flagship, which it has kept well hidden until now: there will be two variants of Find X5 Pro, with two different processors, one from Qualcomm and one from MediaTek.

The new Oppo flagship will also be produced in the “Dimensity Edition” version

According to the latest promotional images from China, Oppo Find X5 Pro will be delivered in the “standard” version, with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, as we all expected, as well as in a special edition called “Dimensity Edition”. The latter will benefit from a chipset produced by MediaTek, which could offer similar performance to the Qualcomm model: Dimensity 9000 5G.

Cortex-A510 (1.8 GHz). The MediaTek processor has already been tested in AnTuTu and reaches a score of over 1 million points, ranking 2nd in the overall standings, behind the Apple A15.

However, Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition will be slightly different in terms of hardware, according to images published by Oppo itself. It looks like the new MariSilicon X image processor will only be available on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version. being about fewer components.

Find X5 Pro is not the only phone that uses two different processors

It thus becomes one of the few flagships on the market that comes with two different processors. We all know about the Samsung models, available in Snapdragon and Exynos variants, depending on the region, and last year we also saw the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro, delivered in versions with Kirin and Snapdragon processors in China. In Europe, however, the Huawei P50 Pro came equipped only with the Snapdragon 888.

We will find out full details about the Oppo Find X5 Pro on Thursday, February 24, when the official launch event is scheduled.
